Meet Dr John,

He has a passion for treating patients impacted by hip and  knee conditions including arthritis and sports injuries.

His interest lies in treating people first, working together with them using minimally invasive techniques together with the most appropriate modern technology such as patient specific instrumentation, computer assisted and robotic surgery.

He was born, educated and trained in Adelaide.

He has also trained internationally in several centres,  including the prestigious Exeter (UK) Arthroplasty Fellowship.

He has performed thousands of hip and knee procedures using the latest techniques, including the “Direct Superior” minimally invasive approach for hip replacement.

Dr John is actively involved in the training of the next generation of Orthopaedic Surgeons and is a current Examiner for the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons in the field of Orthopaedic Surgery.  A position only awarded to those of the highest professional and ethical standards.

Dr Kathy Lee


Dr Kathy Lee is a general paediatrician with experience in all aspects of this field, including developmental and behavioural paediatrics such as ADHD and the impact of diet on behaviour. She has a heart for struggling families and their children’s health needs. She also has an interest in children’s headaches, fibromyalgia and chronic fatigue.

She is Autism SA accredited and can perform Autism assessments for younger children. These assessments need special bookings. Please indicate this when arranging the appointment.

She travels to Waikerie one day per month to assist country patients.

Dr Peter Subramaniam

Peter is an accredited vascular and endovascular surgeon and is a director and reporting surgeon at Adelaide Vascular. He began consultant practice in Adelaide in 2001 with appointments at The Queen Elizabeth Hospital, Ashford Hospital, St Andrew’s Hospital and Calvary Group of Hospitals. Following the amalgamation of the vascular service at the TQEH and the RAH in 2015, Peter is now a Senior Staff Consultant in vascular surgery at the RAH. He is also a visiting specialist at several regional (Mt Barker, Stirling and Riverland Regional) hospitals. Peter’s areas of interest include endovascular aortic aneurysm repair, distal bypass grafting for limb salvage, carotid interventions (stenting and endarterectomy) and targeted carotid screening for stroke prevention.

Peter is involved in undergraduate teaching and postgraduate training. In his capacity as Visiting Surgeon at Riverland Regional, Mount Barker DSM and Stirling District Hospitals, he is involved in the teaching of students from Flinders Medical Centre attached to rural rotations in these areas.
