Waikerie Medical Centre is rolling out the COVID 19 Pfizer vaccination, and the local doctors are asking the community to ensure their eligibility before making an appointment.

Waikerie Medical Centre (WMC) will be offering Pfizer COVID vaccines commencing in September 2021. We have been informed that supply of the vaccines will be limited to begin with. Every effort will be made to get vaccines to all eligible wanting them as soon as possible.

We have no control over the supply so we kindly ask for your patience in this process and more so when staff are unable to meet all your needs.

Your first and second Pfizer vaccine appointments will both be booked when you call. Consent forms are mandatory and are available to download from our website. Alternatively, they can be collected at WMC. Please note consent forms need to be completed before being vaccinated.

Please advise reception if you wish to speak to a GP prior to vaccination.

All persons 16 – 59 are now eligible.

To help us keep your waiting time to the minimum please try to present to COVID Clinics at your scheduled time with completed consent forms.
If you come too early you may be asked to wait.
If you have not answered the questions on both sides of the consent form you will be asked to complete the documents before proceeding.

Kindly note that priority will be given to our Waikerie residents.

People who have been cleared to receive the vaccine must fill out consent forms provided by the medical centres, and information leaflets will also be provided for those with an appointment either at the WMC.

For any further information on the COVID-19 vaccination, including eligibility, speak with your GP.
